House Training & Litter Boxes
Cats are easily housetrained, and will a little patience; prefer to use a litter tray.
While is best to train your cat from kitten age, older cats can be trained. Your cat will want to use her toilet facilities shortly after she eats, so use the following simple steps to help her into a routine.

- Five of ten minutes after your cat has eaten, place her into a clean litter tray
- Allow a little time for her to settle down, as it may take some time for her bowels to begin their work. If she tries to wander off, carefully return her to her litter tray and stoke her to encourage her to stay
- When she is finished, she may tidy up. Allow her to do this, and encourage her to leave the litter tray.
- Your cat will soon find this to be her routine, and will eventually only use her litter tray
Keep your cats litter tray clean, using a scoop to remove waste. Clean the litter tray daily using a pet safe disinfectant, and replace with clear cat litter or crystals.
