Donate & Support Local Rescue Centres

It costs on average €170 to care for a dog, and €100 for a cat, while in a rescue centre and our partner rescue centres are full to capacity with up to 100 dogs and / or cats in their individual care at any one time.

With your support we can help our rescue centres care for the needy pets and help them to keep their doors open so that they can continue to provide the much needed rescue and rehoming work that they do. 

Average costs for caring for a dog in care:

  • €10 release fee to rescue a dog from the local dog pound
  • €30 per month to keep him fed
  • €30 for up to date vaccinations
  • €75 Neuter (male) / €125 Spay (female)

Average costs for caring for a cat in care:

  • €20 per month to keep her fed
  • €60 for up to date vaccinations
  • €70 Neuter (male) / €60 Spay (female)

Flea, worming and other medical treatments are also essential costs for all dogs and cats in care, while the day-to-day running costs such as as electricity, heating etc are not accounted for in these figures.

Please give what you can and help our local rescue centres, or consider giving a forever home to one of their needy dogs or cats. Donations can be made at your local Petmania store.

Donate Practical Items

We have collection hampers available in each of our stores where you can drop off your practical donations of food, blankets and other items which will be use to our rescue centres in the day-to-day care of the animals they are seeking permanent homes for.


Donate Money

Cash donations can be made at any Petmania store, with all money raised going directly to support the work of our local rescue centres. 


Volunteer Your Time

All our rescue centres depend largely on the goodwill of their volunteers to keep their centres open. There are lots of different ways that you can help, and depending on your own unique skillset, our recues would be delighted to hear from you.
