Roscommon store opens as part of Petmania’s Northwest expansion.

Petmania Roscommon, the new pet super-store and grooming studio has opened its doors at Centre Point Retail Park in Roscommon Town.

 

The Roscommon store is part of a major three-year expansion program for the pet retailer that launched an online store in 2020 and three new Petmania branches with grooming studios in the Northwest, in Sligo, Westport and Roscommon within the last year.

 

As part of the expansion, the Irish owned pet-retailer has created 30 new jobs in the Northwest, bringing the total number employed by the company to over 200. Westport native Liam Laffey has filled the position of Store Manager with Ollie Quinn employed as Assistant Manager of the Roscommon Branch.

 

Liam began his career with the pet care specialists as Assistant Manager of the busy Sligo store. Liam did a BSc in Animal Science before taking his role in Petmania. His particular area of expertise is in muscle and joint therapy for dogs; the subject of his dissertation. Liam is the human companion to Lucy a red setter Labrador cross.

The new Petmania store will be open seven days a week and features weight check facilities, specialist pet food and nutritional supplies plus accessories, bedding, safety equipment and much more. A state-of-the-art dog-grooming studio will open in Mid-February.
