WildlifeIrish Garden Bird Survey

Irish Garden Bird Survey

The Garden Bird Survey is coordinated by Bird Watch Ireland every winter to help to monitor the population and fortunes of Ireland's Garden Birds.

When does it happen?

The GBS takes place every December, running through to the end of February when members of the public record the highest number of each bird species visiting their garden every week. The fun survey is great for all the family to get involved in, while at the same time providing valuable data on the populations and trends of Ireland's garden birds.
