Adopt an Animal with Roscommon SPCA

If you have been thinking of getting a dog or cat, then look to adopt an animal. Think Adoption First. Meet Roscommon SPCA, who are partnered with our store in Roscommon. Find out below how you can offer a forever home to one of the dogs or cats in their care.

Who are they?

Roscommon SPCA is a non-profit organization run by people who volunteer their time and is affiliated with the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ISPCA). They lookout for the care and protection of animals in County Roscommon, Ireland. They believe that animals should have:

  1. Freedom from hunger or thirst by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
  2. Freedom from discomfort by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
  3. Freedom from pain, injury or disease by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.
  4. Freedom to express normal behaviour by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind.
  5. Freedom from fear and distress by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.

What Animals Do They Shelter?

Roscommon SPCA shelter dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes. They can range from young puppies to senior dogs, and small kittens to older cats looking for human companionship.
