Defiant Puppy Taylor Ready to Meet His Supporters

Defiant Puppy Taylor Ready to Meet His Supporters

Jan 21, 2013

Earlier this month Cara Rescue Dogs found a three month old lurcher sandwiched between two stone walls bleeding from his throat in a housing estate in Portlaoise. Taylor was a little fighter to have survived what he endured so Cara named him after boxer Katie Taylor.

Now, just over three weeks later, the puppy, who has had huge support from all over the country during the past few weeks, will be joining Cara at their Adoption Information Day in Petmania Portlaoise this coming Saturday 26th January, from 2pm.

Taylor has been heard woofing that he can’t wait to meet all the people that wished him well during his tricky recovery and is excited about his first public outing.

Based in Co Laois, Cara Rescue Dogs are a group of hardworking animal lovers that put all their energy into saving orphan dogs and cats. Taylor is just one of many unwanted pets that Cara have had the pleasure of caring for, and Cara Rescue Dogs meet every second Saturday in Petmania Portlaoise to speak with those interested in  adopting a dog.

The team at Cara & Petmania are inviting the public to Petmania at Portlaoise Retail Park, Timahoe Road, Portlaoise this Saturday from 2pm to meet Taylor.

This weekend, Petmania Portlaoise will also launch their ‘Paw Prints’ campaign to raise funds for Cara Rescue Dogs and support for animal welfare in Laois. For just €1.00 pet owners can add their pet’s name to the Paw Wall, showing their commitment to caring for their pets and helping to prevent other animals from suffering like Taylor.
