Petmania Roscommon celebrates 15th anniversary with PAWsome PAWty

Irish owned pet store, Petmania is celebrating its 15th anniversary this month. Locally, Petmania Roscommon is celebrating the milestone anniversary with a PAWty and PAWsome competition. The top prize is a €1500 Petmania gift card for one lucky winner to spend instore at Petmania.
Petmania began as a pet section in a garden centre in Kilkenny City in the 2005. Part of the O’Keeffe Group, founded by Eamonn and Maureen O’Keeffe, the first Petmania Superstore opened its doors in Waterford in July 2007. Its popularity propelled a rapid expansion of Petmania pet stores across the country and the pet retailer opened its 15th store in Roscommon this year. Petmania Roscommon opened its doors in 2021
To celebrate Petmania Roscommon is inviting animal lovers from across the county to join the fun in-store at Petmania in Centrepoint Retail Park, Roscommon on Saturday, July 23rd to celebrate 15 Years as Ireland’s Premier Pet Experts. There will be lots of family fun on the day, including an exciting ‘Dog Football Squad’ competition in association with Roscommon Ladies Gaelic Football Association, as well as an Adoption Information Day with Roscommon SPCA and finally, a raffle will take place instore.
Petmania and the Roscommon LGFA invite Roscommon’s dogs for try-outs to find Roscommon’s First Four-legged GAA Squad. Roscommon is Petmania’s 15th store in 15 years, and there are 15 players on a football squad. The 15 Dogs picked on the day will be chosen by Roscommon LGFA Selectors to wear the county’s colours. Dogs will be invited to demonstrate doggy skills (ie: get a ball in a net, fetch, run etc). Each of the selected doggies will receive a Petmania Kit Bag and ‘player’ profiles will be featured on the Petmania Roscommon social media pages.
Roscommon SPCA will be available on the day to talk about adoption and caring for animals young and old. If pet parents need questions answered about nutrition, exercise and pet milestones there will be pet experts on hand to answer questions.
Petmania is encouraging everyone in Co Roscommon to enter its competition to be in with a chance of winning a €1500 Petmania gift card.
