Become a Dog Groomer With FETAC Level 5

Petmania Grooming Studios is currently the largest and most successful grooming business in Ireland and boasts some of the most talented and committed Groomers available.

If you are interested in becoming a Dog Groomer but do not hold a FETAC Level 5 in Animal Care there exists the opportunity to progress to the training program by firstly joining our Petmania Store team. There you can be given the opportunity to work in a grooming studio to learn the basic skills and assess your passion for the role and progress from there into the Petmania Grooming Academy, our internal dog grooming training program.

What to Expect

As a Petmania Pet Care Advisor you will work on our shop floor, providing excellent customer care to our valued customer. As a Pet Advisor / Sales Assistant you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of our store, which include general retail duties such as merchandising, store house-keeping, price and gap checks. etc. You will also provide care and maintenance of the store’s fish tanks and animals in-store.

Salary & Training

In addition to your basic pay we offer you quarterly bonuses based on the success of the store, great training opportunities through our myPetmania portal, access to Cycle to Work scheme and Laya Employee Assistance Scheme, and if you are interested and show an aptitude for it, the opportunity to up-skill to become a Dog Groomer.

Who Should Apply?

The ideal candidate will be passionate about retail and sales and be willing and eager to make their mark in the store. In addition to this it is an advantage if you are currently studying or recently qualified in Animal Care to Fetac level 5 or 6, although this is not essential.
