Petmania Puppy of the Year 2017 – Winner

Petmania Puppy of the Year 2017 – Winner

Jul 03, 2017

On Saturday 24th June at Petmania Santry in Dublin, 12 puppies took to the ‘dog walk’ to see which one would win the coveted title of ‘Petmania Puppy of the Year’. Each representing their local Petmania store had been selected by a public vote following two rounds of voting and almost two months of campaigning.

The twelve puppies each demonstrated their unique talents, personality and obedience for a panel of judges made up of Emily Miller, Marketing Manager Petmania, Niall Hennessy, National Sales Manager Hills Pet Nutrition and Michelle O’Connor, Marketing Executive, Ireland’s Blue Book Hotels. Over the space of an entertaining afternoon the judges deliberated hard but following a unanimous decision for first place, Bailey, a stunning little rescue puppy representing Petmania at Eastpoint Retail Park on the Ballysimon Road in Limerick was announced the winner.

It was a triple win for Munster on the day with second place going to Jacob, a golden Labrador also from Limerick, representing Petmania at Jetlands Retail Park on the Ennis Road, and third place Maximus – a tiny pup with a big personality – a Bichon Frise, who travelled all the way from Tralee to Santry to scoop third place.

With over €1500 worth of prizes up for grabs for the Petmania Puppy of the Year, it’s no wonder over 550 puppies entered the competition! Bailey went proudly back to Limerick with her coveted winner’s rosette in hand, looking forward to a year ahead of pampering treatments a Petmania Grooming Studio, 12 month’s supply of food from Hills Pet Nutrition and a fabulous mini-break with her two favourite humans, Jennifer and Adrian Ryan at Rathmullan House in Donegal.
